Waterfall Card

Here is a sample of the type of card I will be teaching in my next series of classes in May. It is a waterfall card - so called because when you pull the tab at the bottom of the  card front the pictures flip over to reveal the images underneath. It is a really fun card to give and surprisingly easy to create!

My class times for May will be Thursday May 27 at 7.30pm and Saturday May 29th at 1.30pm. Cost is $15.
For further details email me if you are interested at

For this sample card I have used one of the cute new sets from the new Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue called Fox and Friends.  Other stamps are from Bird on a Branch - love that speckle stamp for backgrounds and On Your Birthday.

Card used is Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa and Whisper White. Ink used is Close to Cocoa and Versamark was used to stamp the monkey image on the CTC card. Edges of white card were softened by sponging.

More Tri-Shutter Cards

If you visit here frequently you will by now realise that once I start making a style of card or learn a new technique I love I tend to go besserk and do several more cards using that style or technique! Well I haven't changed! Here are some variations of the tri-shutter card that I will be teaching in this months class. If you are interested in coming along I have a couple of spare places for next Thurs. April 29 at 7.30pm or Sat. May 1st at 1.30pm. Cost is $15. Email me if you are interested for further details.

This one I have made for Mother's Day using the stamp set A Rose is a Rose. This set is the very first one I ordered from the current catalogue in April last year and I have finally got around to using it!!!!! I love rose stamps but I obviously have way too many stamps  if it has taken me a year to get around to trying this one out!

The double sided paper is Bella Rosa, card is Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White.
Ribbon is Riding Hood Red taffeta and Kiwi Kiss satin. Other stamp sets used were Fresh Cuts, Teeny Tiny Sentiments from the new mini catalogue and Short Order Alphabet.

For my husband's recent birthday I made this one! The inspiration was the lovely new double sided papers in the new Autumn mini catalogue - Autumn Traditions.

One of the great things about Stampin'Up! is how everything colour co-ordinates and in the catalogues it tells you which colours were used in the double sided papers so as you can get right on with your project without wasting time trying to match colours!

Cardstock used was Always Artichoke and Very Vanilla. Stamp sets are Autumn Days, Wild West Alphabet (stamped in the new In Colour Soft Suede), On Your Birthday and the hostess set Best Yet.

I still have a couple more on the go. I had to do another copy of the original one I posted on here a couple of weeks ago to show everyone in class as I had given it away! The other one I am making uses the other new DSP in the mini catalogue - Cottage Wall.

Thanks for having a look!

Back online again.

Hi Everyone,
Sorry for the lack of activity here but I've been away on holidays for a few weeks to our favourite place in Australia - our holiday unit in Merimbula, NSW.

I did no stamping the whole time I was away. I did pack some new stamp sets from the new Autumn Mini catalogue but the mojo was totally missing! It was me time to chill out and relax and read some good books. Also the health has taken a battering lately so some rest time was very much required.

Anyway the stamping bug is slowly returning. I have unpacked all my lovely new goodies from the new mini catalogue and started playing!

The reason ? I needed two cards to send to two of my wonderful  downline Simone and Maureen who have made the awesome achievement of getting the Stampin'Up! Incentive Trip to Hamilton Island later this year. Well done girls - I am so pleased for you, you both deserve it and you will have a fantastic time there!!!!! Stampin'Up! will spoil you rotten!!!!!

The card uses the lovely new In Colour Rich Razzleberry and the lovely stamp set Vintage Vogue and matching wheel, Very Vintage. the words are from Teeny Tiny Sentiments also from the new mini catalogue.

As I play some more I will try and get some cards on here for you to see.
