Today I wanted to show how a stamped image/layout can change according to the size of the card you place it on. This card design I love so for the recent Paperific show I redid the design to create a 4x4 inch card.
Now look below at how the same size stamped design looks on a 6x6 inch card.
So do have a play around with your card designs and see how a favourite design comes up when tried out in a different dimension!
Just a reminder about my April class where you will learn the lovely technique of paper bargello.
Class is April 26 at 7.30pm and Saturday April 28 at 1.30pm.

Below is another sample I made to show what can be done during your creative time in the class.
For this card I have used new Designer Series Papers from the current Autumn mini catalogue. If you would like to have a play with these plus the new framelits and new stamp set used here then book yourself into my class!
Hi there! I didn't realise how long it was since I last posted! I have to admit to a guilty pleasure that is a bit of a time waster and that is Pinterest. For those of you who have not heard of it, it is a website where you create pinboards of your favourite things. Well of course my pinboards are stamping related! It is such a convenient place to keep images of items you see on the net in one place - quite simply I love it!!!!
Subsequently I have not created anything in the last week or so! So it was into the archives to find something to show you. This card was created for my poster display on our Stampin'Up! stand at the recent Paperific Show. I went through my stash of half completed items and found this stamped tag, which was done during a class demo to create a free standing pop up card. So I added the sentiment and popped it onto a card using a dab of Dotto so as it can be removed with ease and hey presto, my bookmark card was created!
Stamp set - Happiness Shared and Field Flowers
Card - Garden Green, Sahara Sand and Whisper White
I'm going to give this card to my Mum for Mother's Day next month. I know she will love it!
Here is one of the sample cards for my April Technique Class. This month come along and learn how to create this terrific technique known as Bargello. It is based on the embroidery technique of the same name.
It is a lovely way to create a pretty feature to your card or scrap page or as a background for your projects.
April dates are - Thursday April 26 at 7.30pm
- Saturday April 28 at 1.30pm
If you have a group of friends who would like to do this class and these dates don't suit you, let me know and we can make another time for you and your friends to learn this technique.
Class cost - $15
Please bring your own cutter as this will speed up the process during class.
Email me at email@example.com if you would like to reserve your class spot. Classes are held in Mt. Waverley.
Watch out for more samples as I get more done during the month.
Well what a wonderful weekend of papercrafting fun and excitement was had at Paperific! It was a terrific show with so many new ideas and products on display.
Here are some pics of our gorgeous Stampin'Up! stand. The team led by Rose and Jane for this show did a wonderful job creating our floral themed Stampin'Up! displays. That's Rose standing by Simone who is showing off the latest stamping techniques. And below is Lorinda doing her make and takes alongside the beautiful "cake" we had on display for our "Book to Look" promotion. It was made by one of Tracy's team and believe it or not it is all made from Stampin'Up! cardstock - how fabulous is that!!!
The team all had a wonderful time working on the stand and I had a great time too helping out Naomi by working on customer service at the front Paperific desk. Thankyou to my customers and friends who made a point of saying hello as they came through, it was so good to see you at Paperific! I have to say it was one of the best Paperific shows we have done so far. Naomi just keeps making her show bigger and better! So do mark the dates for the next show in your diaries now - August 31 - September 2 at the Melbourne Showgrounds. Looking forward to seeing you there!!!!!
