Stampin'Up! Wetlands Cards from Card Monthly Class - July 2014

After each months class I share with you the cards my class ladies made during my card monthly class. This acts as a great referral for them to remember the cards they made should they happen to give away one of their class cards. And we all know that happens from time to time when you get caught short for a card for a special occasion!

This month we created cards based around the Wetlands stamp set 126695.

Here is the first card. A good card for a male recipient don't you think? Also a great layout to use for so many occasion cards.

Her's the second card. I love this one for it's clean and simple design. This card was CASE'd from one made by Julia Carmichael a West Australian demonstrator and I made a couple of changes to it.

Card number three was a gatefold card. I love Pinterest for it's ability to showcase so many talented cardmakers creations. So I do admit that this is another CASE'd card, this time from a card on Pinterest by Sara Rayner. Thanks for sharing your card Sara. Again a few subtle changes to the original card.

Stampin'Up!'s pennant framelits make creating those banners sooooo easy!

Now for card number 4! Another clean and simple style. Also quick and easy as it is made using Stampin'Up! whisper white notelets which come pre-scored and with matching envelope.

The new stamp set "Work of Art" 134111 makes creating this card a doddle!

And finally our last card - busy month this class 5 cards made!
This one used the Thinlit Circle card frame to make the base.

I got the basic idea for this one from Anna Schach. Her card was a lot more detailed and I wanted a quicker version for my class ladies to create. See Anna's card here. I also showed them how to create the extra flap on their swing card which I added onto my creation.

I hope you enjoyed seeing our class cards. If you would ever like to join our group of monthly card makers please email me to book your self a spot. My email is jannic@bigpond.com Classes are held in Mt. Waverley, Melbourne.

Thanks for looking! Until next post!
Cheers!

Stampin'Up! Eureka Stampers Inaugural Blog Hop!

Welcome to our very first Eureka Stampers Blog Hop. If you have reached my blog you will have come via Linda's lovely blog or I may be your starting point! Whichever way, sit back and enjoy the talents of some of my terrific downline team members.

My first project was inspired by the recent Craft & Quilt Show where I was enthused enough to pull out my patchwork again. Looking at the new Designer series Paper Stacks that arrived in my Big Brown Box last week I was reminded of patchwork fabrics with the All Abloom paper stack. So I decided to try out my new Flower Frenzy Bigz die to create a "patchwork" flower.

I had a lovely time playing around with different patterns of paper and choosing which colour to use in each layer. It was so much like doing a piece of patchwork. The paper stack has 48 sheets with 12 double sided patterns and 4 of each design.

So here is my creation!

I curled the petals up a bit with my bonefolder to give the flower a bit of depth. Do you like the new Flower Frenzy die? It has even more images than I have used here, there are 9 shapes on the die.

The Crumb Cake card edges were sponged using Crumb Cake ink to give the card a vintage feel. And check out the greeting, I faux dry embossed it using white craft ink and Lost Lagoon dye ink. I hadn't done this technique for a long time and had to pull out my technique folder to remember how to do it!

The greeting is from a new stamp set that will be one of my favourites, always love a good greeting stamp set! This one is called And Many More. It contains 23 sentiment stamps  for every known occasion. You can also see the new cute In Colour sequins in this close up photo. Some paper piercing added to the patchwork/applique feel of the overall card.

Okay now for my second project! My Mum is turning 90 next week so I wanted to create something shiny and special for her. As you may know if you follow my blog I am in love with the Blended Bloom stamp and I enjoy coming up with different ways to use it apart from colouring it in all the time. So for my Mum's card I gold embossed it!

Doesn't it look great! Fussy cutting it out and placing it over the Gold Soiree Specialty Designer Paper makes the flower stand out beautifully. I added depth by fussy cutting out a second embossed image of the flower centre.

The stamp set Memorable Moments was embossed in gold onto vellum  and cut out and placed on the card. For the main card I used Brushed Gold card stock. All up a very golden effort!!!!

I know my Mum is going to love the card! She keeps all the cards I make her and has them on display permanently!!!!

I hope you enjoyed my creations and that I have inspired you to try something new. So now it is time for you to move onto the lovely Rebecca's blog.

Thanks for joining in our Blog Hop!

Cheers

Bloom with Hope Sympathy Card

A sympathy card is something one never wants to keep on hand but unfortunately they are a necessity. I recently required one for one of dear friends who had lost her father and this is what I made.

If you are enjoying the new Blendabilities pens than this stamp set - Bloom with Hope will become one of your favourites as it has 5 images that can be coloured and blended with your Blendabilities. It is an hostess set so you will receive it for free if you make a $300 plus order or host a workshop. Email me if you would like to know more on how to get your hands on this lovely stamp set.

I coloured the flower using the Pumpkin Pie set of pens and the Daffodil Delight set for the flower centre. To make the flower "pop" more I outlined it with my Smoky Slate marker pen.

Card - Naturals White, Basic Black, Old Olive, Whisper White

Stamps - Bloom with Hope133949

Ink - Memento Black

Extras - Blendabilities in Pumpkin Pie,  Daffodil Delight and Old Olive, Smoky slate Stampn'Write marker, Decorative dots embossing folder, Modern Label punch

I like my card, simple and understated, just right for a sad occasion.

Until next time,

Janine

Kinda Eclectic Stampin'Up! Card

Here is the final make and take card from my Catalogue Launch. This stamp set "Kinda Eclectic" was given to us as one of our Convention sets at the South Pacific Stampin'Up! Convention.

I do like all the elements in this set as you can mix and match them in so many different ways. Something you should always look for when buying a stamp set as you want to get the most out of it by using the set in a number of ways.

I do like doing tone on tone cards and this one shows off the new In Colour Blackberry Bliss very nicely. Look how many colour variations you can get from the Blackberry Bliss ink pad. There are 4 generations of leaf impressions on the card. So from one ink pad - four different colours!

Card - Naturals White, Blackberry Bliss

Ink - Blackberry Bliss

Stamps - Kinda Eclectic 135347

Extras - Elegant Butterly punch, Bitty Butterfly punch, sponge

Blended Blooms Card

Here is another card my customers made at my Catalogue Launch on the weekend. The Blackberry Bliss card was sent to me by my lovely downline Simone Bartrum. The Lost Lagoon one on the left is the one we made on the weekend.

A really lovely quick and easy card to create. And you know I love quick and easy cards!!!! Also a neat way to use the Blended Bloom stamp, showing you don't have to always colour it in!

Isn't this the cutest card! They are made using the Stampin'Up! notelets pack of pre-scored card and envelopes. That makes card making even simpler!!!!

The original idea for this card design came from Susan Campfield. You can see her blog here.

Card - Stampin'Up! Notelets & Envelopes, 2014-2016 In Colours ( Lost Lagoon, Blackberry Bliss used here )

Stamps - Blended Bloom 135906, A Dozen Thoughts 13105, Gorgeous Grunge 130514

Ink - Lost Lagoon, Blackberry Bliss

Extras - Scalloped Tag Topper punch 133324, Satin Stitched Ribbon - Lost Lagoon & Blackberry Bliss

You can view the items used below this post. They will link you to my online Stampin'Up! store.

Blendabilities Blended Bloom Card

There is so much to love about the new Stampin'Up! Annual Catalogue but my new favourite product items have to the range of Blendabilites pens. These alcohol marker pens come in the most gorgeous Stampin'Up! colours!

I wish I had more hours in my day to play with these new markers! Below is one of my first attempts at colouring the Blended Bloom Stamp. I find colouring in to be such a relaxing past time - there was actually an article in our metro paper last weekend stating that the pastime of colouring in was the latest relaxation fad in Paris! There would be a lot of stampers who discovered that fact a long time ago!!!!

For my first attempt I am somewhat chuffed with my card! The leaf stamp from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set makes a great background for the Blended Bloom image.

If you would like to get your hands on these lovely markers then email me to find out about my Blendabilities Online Colouring Club. You too can be getting lost in this wonderful past time!

Cheers
