Irresistibly Yours DSP + Boys will be Boys Trishutter Card

Class tonight - the first one for the year! Everything is set for my ladies who are attending tonight and I am very excited to be sharing with you one of the cards they can choose to make in this class.

I had a lot of fun creating this card. I bought this stamp set Boys will be Boys when it was on the Stampin'Up! Weekly Deals recently. It wasn't ever on my wish list but I thought it would a great set for my customers and class ladies to have a play with and then having  the set being available at a discount, I decided well why not give it a try! It does pay to check out the Weekly Deals each week, you never know what you will discover there!

Here is my trishutter card.

These are not the easiest cards to photograph so here are two more card views!

The diagonal striped card is from the Irresistibly Yours Sale-a-bration Designer Speciality Paper range which you can currently receive for free when you make a Stampin'Up!order worth $90 (Aust). I have brayered over each card piece in either Basic Black, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight or Real Red. Once brayered I have rubbed over the card with a tissue to wipe off the ink on the resist areas of the card. Pretty easy to create some great effects! I did discover that the Basic Black does not wipe off as cleanly as the other colours but then that made the background card choice a lot easier!

The card base is Smoky Slate. The images were coloured using Stampin'Write Markers.

Come back again soon when I will share another of the cards we will be creating tonight!

Zoo Babies Catalogue CASE Card

As many of you know I am a midwife and work in Birth Suite. I love my job! Lately we have had a run of expectant midwives and I had the lovely pleasure of looking after one of our midwives and then even had the honour of helping her to birth her gorgeous baby boy!

Here is the welcome baby card I made for the new family. I CASE'd the Annual catalogue as a bit time pressed. Baby cards are not something I tend to keep on hand!

You can see the pink version on page 78 of the 2014 Annual Catalogue. So I changed into a blue version ! The catalogue comes in handy so many times for in a hurry inspiration! Do make sure you have a copy to refer to when your mojo goes AWOL!

Here's Some More Building Block Cards!

In an earlier post I showed you a journal cover created at my downline Simone Bartrum's team day. Simone asked me to give a "Workshop Wow" presentation at the day and requested that I show the attending team demonstrators how to create a Building Block Card. I had sent Simone two recently - one for when she was recovering from an operation and one for Christmas, as a result she was eager to find out how to create them!

The Valentines Day card in my last post was one of the sample cards I created for the Team Day and now I am delighted to show you my other creations!

Sorry about the angle! They are not the easiest cards to photograph! This card shows off the lovely Sale-a-bration stamp set - Lotus Blossom. The Designer Series paper is also a Sale-a-bration item - Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper. The sentiments came from the set Crazy About You. Below is a closer look at this pretty stamp.

Now for my next sample!

This card show off the Occasions catalogue stamp set - Balloon Bash and the co-ordinating Speciality Designer Series paper - Birthday Bash. Some of those balloons are gold embossed on the paper - very cute! The words are from the set - Hooray It's Your Day. I used that tip I shared in my last post - the Ticket Duo punch to punch out the greetings.

I really love this final sample! I CASE'd the front panel, with a few subtle changes, from the Occasions Catalogue where it features on a journal front cover.

Here is the card viewed from a different angle.

And a final pic to show the pop out detail.

I have traded using patterned papers for embossed card. I used the Spring Flowers embossing folder. You can find it in the Occasions catalogue. I thought the use of the Sahara Sand Lace trim was a rather inspired move to go behind the butterflies! Adds some elegance to the card! The butterfly stamp and others used on this card came from the set - Butterfly Basics, except for the birthday greeting which came from the set Wetlands.

I hope you like the cards I made for my pesentation. If you would like to come along to one of our team days, all you have to do is become a demonstrator in my Inksationals team or Simone's Eureka Stampers team. Contact either of us if you would like to know more about becoming part of Stampin'Up!

Valentines Day Building Block Card

Here is a lovely card to inspire you to create something very special for your special love for Valentines Day. I'm in love with the font used for the "love" stamp!

The card style is a building block card, so something a bit different from your general stock standard card.

Products used to make this card were -

Cardstock - Real Red, Whisper White, Basic Black

Ink - Real Red, Staz-On Black

Stamps - That's The Ticket, Hello Life

Papers - Stacked with Love paper stack, Red Glimmer Paper

Punch - Ticket Duo Builder, Itty Bitty Accents

A little tip for you - use the ticket duo builder punch to punch out your words for the building blocks. When you trim off the ends you get the perfect size "block"!

Happy Valentines Day for Saturday!

Choose Happiness Journal Cover

I've just come in from a lovely day spent with my downline Simone Bartrum and her team of Eureka Stampers. It was terrific to catch up with many of my friends / downline plus sit and chat about all things stamping and crafting at the same time.

I'd like to share with you this cute journal cover we all created using the "Choose Happiness" 134195 stamp set.

Very nice and plus easy to create! Love those sort of projects! The washi tape spine adds a great look to the finished item.

Wedding Napkin Card Using "For the New Two" and Something Borrowed DSP

My family and I have had a lovely weekend sharing in the celebrations for our nephew Josh and Steph's wedding. I made this gorgeous card for them. I loved making it and will run a class on creating this style of card in April.

Here is the card closed.

Semi open.

Fully open.

The belly band detail.

This card really was so much fun to make and the papers are lovely and compliment the stamp set - For the New Two beautifully. And what about the pretty embellishments - Something Borrowed embellishments, White jute ribbon and Sahara Sand lace trim. You can find all these items in the new Occasions catalogue on pages 42 and 43.

I wish I could see the new couples faces when they open the card!

Look out for my class dates if you would like to learn how to create this cute style of card.
