Sale-a-bration Stamp set - Sky is the Limit

Sale-a-bration for 2016 is well underway now and one of the exclusive stamp sets you can receive for free when you make a $90 Aust Stampin'Up! order is the wonderful "Sky is the Limit" stamp set. This set is great for masculine cards and those are always the toughest ones to make I find. One thing to note is that this set is available for a limited time during Sale-a-bration. You have until February 15 to get an order in and earn this set for free.

I haven't had a lot of time for stamping of late but I did get a moment to play and here is what I made using the Sky is the Limit set.

I think this biplane is a fabulous stamp for so many types of cards. Here I have stamped the image and then fussy cut it out to add onto my background, raising it up with Dimensionals. The clouds are also in this stamp set and these too have been cut out and added onto the Designer Series Paper background.

Look at that terrific Designer Series Paper, "Perfectly Artistic", love the watercolour effect! The other side of the paper is patterned with marbling in the same colours. Best news of all, you can get this pack of papers for free as well during Sale-a-bration. Anytime between now and February 15 spend $90 on Stampin'Up! goodies and you can choose to receive this paper pack or one of eleven other exclusive Sale-a-bration items. This paper pack is also only available for a limited time. Sale-a-bration runs until March 31 so you can aim for these items now and then plan on getting the others once these are no longer available.

I pulled out my rotary cutter to create the wavy cut card edge to add to the cloud effect on the card. Candy dots in Soft Sky added to Candy Dot brad bases completed my card.

I hope to show more cards soon but there is a lot happening for me at the moment and so not much time for creating at present.

Hope to be back soon.

Stampin'Up! Wilderness Awaits Birthday Card

This is the card I made for my eldest son's recent birthday. I have had the idea in my head for this card since the Holiday catalogue came out. I had the Wilderness Awaits stamp set ready waiting in the wings for Alex's card but when I saw the Winter Wonderland vellum Stack in the Holiday catalogue I knew I had a perfect pairing for my card.

Ale'x birthday is in January so unfortunately I am showing retired product but I am sure you will be able to pick up this vellum stack later in the year in the Clearnance Rack. If you already have the stack then here is a cool idea to get some more miles out of a Christmas design stack.

The deer was stamped onto watercolour card and watercoloured using inks and an aqua painter brush. The card was cut out using the Lots of Labels framelits. A bit of gold thread trim bunched behind the image to add a bit of something else to the card I was done. The deer antlers are a perfect compliment to the stamped image don't you think?

Thanks for looking!

Number of Years Bendi Card

Today is my daughter Georgie's 25th birthday and what better way to christen my new Stampin'Up! Occasions Catalogue stamp set Number of Years 140653 than to make a special card to celebrate the special milestone. Not just a plain old fold card but a bendi card! This was my first attempt at one and after a couple of hiccups I was very pleased with the end result.

There are so many gorgeous new items in the Occasions catalogue and from tomorrow January 5th you can start ordering from the new catalogue - Yay!!!!!!

So as sneak peek here you can see the stamp set Number of Years 140653, Large Number Framelits Dies 140622 ( comes as a bundle with the aforementioned stamp set and you save 15% ), Pool Party glitter ribbon 140561 ( love this!), Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper 140557.

I'm going to offer this style of card as a class this year so if you are interested let me know.

Colours used for the inks are Watermelon Crush, Mossy Meadow, Pool Party, Mint Macaron and Blushing Bride.

Thanks for checking out my post! And Happy Birthday Georgie!

2015 Christmas Card from Janine

A late Christmas post but life has been very busy here with settling my mother into Aged Care, selling her home and packing it up, along with Christmas plus work thrown into the mix, I have been rather lacking in computer time.

Any way here is the cute card I used as my customer Christmas card this year. I loved this idea when I spied it on Pinterest - thankyou Amanda Bates for sharing, that I had to come up with my own version.

If you are really quick you might still be able to get yourself some of the reindeer paper clips139643 they are still available from the Holiday catalogue until midnight January 4th. Also retiring will be the gold cord trim,  and the enamel dots. The embossing folder Softly Falling is returning in the Occasions 2016 catalogue.

The sentiment came from one of the Holiday catalogue Host sets Antique Tags. You can still get that set if you make a $250 Aust product order but again only until midnight January 4th.

I loved making this card. It was quick to put together and so cute! I've actually ordered more paper clips so as I can offer this card in Christmas class later on in the year.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Sorry the paper clips would not come up as an icon.
