Swan Lake Card

I'd been to the ballet to see The Nutcracker and the next day I was sitting at my desk when the Swan Lake stamp set caught my eye. A recent order from Stampin'Up! had arrived and it included the new background stamp Sheet Music. Well I put my World of Ballet CD on and created a card using this combination of stamps to create my own "Swan Lake" card inspired by the ballet.

A bit of fussy cutting required but well worth the effort.

Adding some Smoky Slate marker along the wing line adds some depth to the images.

If you'd like to purchase this stamp set, click on the images below to go to my online store. It's Bonus Dollars Month, so for every $90 Aust you order you receive a $9 Bonus voucher to use in August.

Cheers for now!

July Technique Class - Glossy Cardstock Backgrounds

When the new Stampin'Up! 2017-2018 Annual catalogue came into my hot little hands my whoops of joy for new products was when I saw that glossy card stock had made it back into the catalogue. I was disappointed when Stampin'Up! retired glossy card a few years back as there are so may cool techniques you can use it for. Now it is returned,  we are going to focus in this months classes on how to create pretty backgrounds for your cards and scrapbook pages.

My first sample was inspired by a card in an article on the return of glossy card in our quarterly Stampin'Up! demonstrator magazine. ( One of the great perks of being a demonstrator!) I was intrigued as to how the card had been created so had a play and here are my first samples for the class.

As well as this technique we will cover two other techniques using glossy card and Stampin'Up! products.

Interested? Here are the dates -

Thursday July 20 at 7.30pm
Friday July 21 at 10am
Saturday July 22 at 1.30pm

Class fee $20 and you will make three cards. All materials provided. Please bring a paper trimmer.
