Blue Ribbon Graduation Card

Tomorrow my youngest son will graduate from University in Ballarat. His Dad and I are very proud of his achievements as he has worked hard to achieve his double degree. I'd like to share with you the graduation card that I made for him.

I tend to forget all the great stamp sets I have from Stampin'Up! that are in the older style clam shell cases as you cannot see the images of the stamps enclosed inside the case. Unlike the new plastic cases which have the stamp images displayed on the spine of the box so are easily visualised when you are searching for a stamp to suit an occasion. I was moving boxes around looking for another stamp when I found the Blue Ribbon set and realised I could create the perfect graduation card.

For the background I used the Sale-abration papers "Irresistibly Yours" and brayered the card with Bermuda Bay ink then wiped off the resisted ink that was on the embossed images of this lovely paper.

One touch to this card that I was excited to discover was that the Stampin'Up! silver satin ribbon was perfect to go behind the congratulations stamped images! It added the extra touch I wanted to make this card special!

Cardstock - Night of Navy, Smoky Slate, Whisper White
Stamps - Blue Ribbon 131964
Inks - Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay, Smoky Slate
Extras - Sliver satin ribbon,  Bermuda Bay taffeta ribbon, 2 3/8 inch scallop circle punch, 1 3/8 inch circle punch

Thanks for stopping by!

Janine
