I have been meaning to share this card from last months class where we created Corner Pop Up cards. this card was the most popular sample that my class ladies recreated so it was handled quite a lot, hence the ink mark on it - sorry. I should have taken photos before class. I did of the other samples but not his one, naughty me!
The new Hearth & Home framelits 139666 in the 2015 Holiday Catalogue offer so much potential for creating fascinating cards. I have seen loads of lovely ideas on Pinterest. The stamp set used here is White Christmas 135767 from the Stampin'Up! 2015 Annual Catalogue. I liked the way I could vary the window view using this stamp set.
I cut my Whisper White card to 2 1/2 x 3 inches and stamped my scene. Before adding any litlle extras like the bird, position your window frame over the stamped piece to make sure your little extras don't get hidden by the window bars.
This stamp set being photopolymer means you can shape the tree stamp image to make the snow covered hill higher or lower. There was some fussy cutting required to cut out the banner but it was not as hard as I thought it might be! The addition of the fine tip glue pen makes gluing fine items like this banner an absolute breeze.
If creating this style of card I would suggest when you come to do the sentiment position the sentiment and mat on the open popped up card so as you end up adhering the sentiment in the correct orientation.
Colours used are Cherry Cobbler, Mint Macaron, Sahara Sand and Whisper White card.
Inks are Soft Suede, Soft Sky and Cherry Cobbler.
I hope you like my card!
Cheers,
Janine

how does this pop up card work? I haven't seen a corner popup before. does it fit in regular envelope?
ReplyDeleteHi Francine, The card is 4x4 inches when folded and it is the way it is cut and folded that creates the way it sits up. I created a belly band to go around the card for giving as it tends to want to spring open. If you need any more details email at jannic@bigpond.com. Cheers!
