Inksationals Team Day Creations

Saturday I held my a day of make and take projects with my Inksational team members. Each demonstrator attending brought along a project using new products from the Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogues for everyone there to make. We had ten lovely new cards by the end of the session and had a wonderful time enjoying our shared Stampin'Up! passion.

To start off this post here is my contribution, a calendar card using the Custom Tee bundle of stamps and framelits and the Tie Dyed stamp set. Plus the Designer Tee stamp set from the Sale-a-bration catalogue.

To get the extra colour onto the tie dye swirl stamp I used a technique known as "Thumping". I inked the stamp with So Saffron ink then with a Bermuda Bay marker I tapped the marker over the inked stamp until I was happy with the amount of ink added, huffed on the stamp and stamped my image. Check out the closeup below.

Here are the other cards we created.

Fiona's card used the Birthday Bright stamp set. As did Nicola for her card below.

Fleur used the Chase Your Dreams stamp set for her CASE (with subtle changes) of one of the cards in the Occasions catalogue.

Nicole used her Everyday Hero stamp for her card, knowing that most of us do not have the set. A great way to get a sample using this set and I reckon it got added to several of our wishlists!

Lifen highlighted the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits and the Inside the Lines DSP from the Sale-a-bration catalogue.

Susan also used the Detailed Dragonfly thinlits for her easel card. The vellum behind the dragonfly is sponged with ink and a battery powered tealight candle is placed behind it to create a very pretty display.

Simone had us play with the Window Box thinlit die to create the cutout with a sponged background showing through. A CASE based on the card on page 43 of the Occasions catalogue.

Rosie contributed with a tunnel card. Love the chicken from the Sale-a-bration set Hey Chick peeking out from the card!

Bev's card is a one layer card using Avant Garden from the Sale-a-bration catalogue.

Finally Julie CASE'd the card on page 6 of the Sale-a-bration catalogue.

A terrific day and loads of fun! It was interesting to see how diverse all the projects were and the different styles of card and techniques showcased. A definite must do again day!

If you would like to purchase any of the products used in these cards you can go to my online store and order there. Just click on the "Shop Now" tab at the top right of this page.
