This card is not my usual style at all and I am still looking at it at times and thinking about whether I like it or not. I think it is growing on me. I already had the swirly bird circle background stamped when playing around with another idea for a card. This weeks CASEing the Catty pages were posted Sunday night and there was a circle background so my challenge to myself was to create a card for CASEing the Catty using that already stamped cardstock.
Keeping my other challenge going, I also had to use a new stamp set I had not inked up yet. Yes the pile on my desk is diminishing. Yes I buy way too many stamp sets but that's why I am a demonstrator so I can get them all at a discount!!!! Plus I love them all!!!! That's why I never ( well very rarely ) sell any of my retired stamp sets so you can imagine after 10 years of being a demonstrator there are quite a few stashed away in my spare room.
The set I chose for inking up was Best Birds from the Annual catalogue page 53 and I combined it with the Birds & Blooms Thinlit dies which you can buy as a bundle and save 10%. Using the dies saved on the fussy cutting making getting a card put together just that bit quicker! The die cut pieces are popped up off the card with Dimensionals.
To be different I added a background of Fabulous Foil Acetate and attached it with washi tape from the Affectionately Yours set of tapes. The wording comes from the popular Sale-a-bration stamp set Hey Chick.
If you like my card you could go to CASEing the Catty and vote for my card or any of the other cards entered for this weeks challenge. Better still how about you enter the challenge?
I'd be interested to know what you think of this card because as I mentioned it is not my usual style and so I am quite unsure about it.
Thanks for dropping by!
Cheers
